Instrument-driven, hand-crafted film and television scores; original song composition and arrangements of licensed music.  Our work is centered around the magic that happens between people when they get together in a room to play.  No genre is too far-fetched or foreign.  We draw upon an elite pool of traditional session musicians when necessary, as well as on a community of extremely talented ‘alternative’ performers—zitherists, accordionists, sousaphonists, baroque violinists, electroacoustic artists and beyond.

We are available to consult on and license credible music for period pieces from the baroque era to modern times, with a depth and breadth of knowledge that can steer your project away from obvious choices and toward the iconic music that will come to define your television show or film.  Our immersion in the world of independent music can connect you to emerging artists before the rest of the world has heard of them.

Handmaid Music is equipped to handle all of the audio production and post-production requirements for your film or tv project, including Foley, ADR, and on-location sound recording.  We are happy to keep all of the audio elements—from initial sound design to scoring and music supervision to final mixing—under one roof, or to work with you to fill in the gaps in your existing audio production as needed. 

The majority of our work is performed in-house in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Los Angeles, California. We coordinate with our vast network of studios and session musicians across the globe, including premier players in New York and overseas.
